Blog: Social networking sites

The four sites I visited were Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. They are all popular social networking networks. Facebook to me is all about being close to family in my opinion. Back then some people cared about getting the most likes, but nowadays it's used more of communication. It is the best way to communicate with people because it also has the Facebook messenger application to go with. It has so many functions such as sending pictures, payments, videos, and more. Instagram is more about popularity. People would post pictures and videos of themselves and get the most heart as they possibly can. I would say Instagram is the new Facebook in terms of showing off your lifestyle. Instagram and Facebook have similar layouts of course because Facebook owns Instagram. Twitter is used mostly for expressing your thoughts. People would then comment and would give their opinions on what they would think. Twitter, in my opinion, grew really big today compared to back then because people really didn’t use it. You see celebrities tweeting out their feelings and thoughts more efficiently. Snapchat is also more like showing your lifestyle like Instagram. It more about sharing and posting short 30 second videos. People will be more aware of what you are as a person. Each social networking is good at their own thing, but they are all really similar in communication.
